In this project spotlight our crew was working in Lancaster, SC on a 550′ drive that curving through some 200 year old Oak trees.
A new project required larger stone now to create what will be more of a construction pathway. Once the residence is complete we will come back with smaller stones to dial it in.
At the entrance we cut 8′ wide and installed a 20′ culvert for drainage and to allow water to flow under the new stone driveway.
The ground was very hard to clear and covered with vines in some areas. To get rid of the vines we went five feet deep!
One thing that sets a Palmetto Land Services Stone Driveway apart from all others is our approach on the prep. Most contractors will just dump the stone in a somewhat straight path. We actually cut our path about 5″ deep on both sides. The stones fall into and fill the path when done that way. It is clean and looks beautiful!
